A small but dedicated group of volunteers gave of themselves for five days. Working in south Texas and across the border in Rio Bravo and Reynosa, they bagged and distributed 1,000 pounds of beans and rice, 400 pounds of dog food, along with countless clothes, and shoes.
A special donor gift of over 300 new Beanie Babies were joyfully handed out to children, and were even more joyfully received. PCFP also received cases of Spanish New Testaments, which we distributed in the neighborhood surrounding our free clinic. What a delight to see the children immediately open the book and begin reading the word of God.
The work days for PCFP's winter trip are December 28, 29, and 30. Volunteers must arrive by 5:00 p.m. December 27 for dinner and a devotional.
We will cross the border early Thursday morning, and hopefully begin work on constructing a very small frame home for a woman we met this summer.
We will be having medical clinics, and handing out beans, rice, toys, and clothing as well.
